Albese Cassano
Alzate Brianza (CO), Lombardy.
Redevelopment of the former Meritor area: from industrial past to new commercial hub
The former Meritor area in Albese con Cassano has completed its transformation from a disused industrial site into a modern service hub for the local area.
The redevelopment project led to the construction of a medium-sized retail complex, designed to meet the needs of the local community and offer new economic development opportunities for the area. The project was not limited to retail: the plan also included the creation of large parking areas and, crucially, public works that restored spaces and services to the community, helping to redevelop a long-abandoned area and integrate it into the surrounding urban fabric. A virtuous example of urban regeneration that combined economic development with attention to the common good.
